Built for the people who hold the keys.
Most venue software is built for the person hiring the room. VenueBooker is built for the person who runs it — the booking secretary, the club treasurer, the centre manager, the caretaker who locks up at midnight.
The venues that hold communities together run on goodwill and spreadsheets
Walk into almost any village hall, sports club or community centre in the UK and you’ll find the same thing: a brilliant space, a handful of dedicated people, and a booking system made of a paper diary, a shared inbox and someone’s remarkable memory.
It mostly works — because those people make it work. But it leaks. Deposits go unchased, quiet hours go unsold, two birthday parties get promised the same Saturday, and the one volunteer who understands the spreadsheet can never, ever go on holiday.
We started VenueBooker because that leak is fixable with software — if the software is built from the operator’s side of the counter. Not another glossy marketplace that treats your venue as inventory, but a working tool that protects your diary, collects your money and briefs your team.
Your calendar, your rates, your terms
They find rooms for people; we help the people who own the rooms run them.
VenueBooker is not a venue-finding marketplace. We don’t list your space to the public, take commission on your bookings, or sit between you and your hirers. Your calendar, your rates, your terms, your hirer relationships — we just make them run smoothly.
One clarification worth making: we’re not connected to “The Venue Booker”, an unrelated UK service that helps consumers find venues. Same words, opposite side of the counter.
No account manager stands between you and us
Write to the address at the foot of this page and a director reads it. Ask for something your building genuinely needs and it goes straight to the person who would make it, not into a queue behind a sales target. The journey a booking takes through the software is written out on the home page, stage by stage.
We try to work the way a well-run venue works: answer quickly, be straight about what is possible, and never promise a room that is already taken.
Three commitments we’ll be held to
- Hospitality first Software should behave like good front-of-house: quick, clear and calm. If a feature makes a booking secretary’s evening longer, it doesn’t ship.
- Honest by default We describe what the software does, quote what it would cost your venue, and tell you plainly when it is the wrong fit for your building.
- Your data stays yours Hirer lists and booking history belong to your venue. No advertising SDKs, no selling data, no cross-app tracking — it’s written into our Privacy Policy.
Show us a week in your diary
If you run a hall, club or community space and any of this sounds familiar, we would genuinely like to hear how bookings reach you today — and where the week comes apart.
